Job Description
The Medical Representative (MR) is responsible for promoting and selling the company’s pharmaceutical products to doctors, healthcare professionals, chemists, and distributors. The role includes achieving sales targets, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring effective product communication in the assigned territory.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Sales & Promotion
Promote and detail company products to doctors, clinics, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the assigned territory.
Create demand and generate prescriptions for company products.
Ensure effective product positioning and brand visibility.
B. Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, chemists, stockists, and distributors.
Conduct regular follow-ups with healthcare professionals.
Resolve customer queries and provide product-related information.
C. Market & Territory Management
Plan daily field visits and maintain a doctor–chemist call average as per company policy.
Ensure availability of products at chemist and stockist levels.
Collect market intelligence on competitor products, activities, and pricing.
D. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain daily call reports, work plans, and monthly performance reports.
Submit timely feedback to managers on field activities and market conditions.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs and reporting systems.
3. Qualifications & Skills Required
Minimum qualification: Graduate (B.Sc., B.Pharm, or any relevant field preferred).
Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong convincing ability and customer-handling skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Self-motivated, target-oriented, and disciplined.
4. Experience
Freshers and experienced candidates can apply. Fresher have B- Pharma degree.
Experience in pharmaceutical sales is an added advantage.
5. Working Conditions
Field-based role requiring regular travel.
Must attend doctor calls, chemist visits, and product meetings as scheduled.
